Geological Brunton-type compass, DQL 8 with needle locking mechanism, adjustable in two positions (unlocked or locked); clinometer with 2º increments, allowing 1º readings; two bubble levels on the outside of the instrument body; needle with NdFeB magnet; is more resistant to demagnetization; has azimuth precision of approximately 1/2º on a 1º graduated scale, allowing readings of up to 10 minutes; has vertical angle measurements of approximately 90º or 100% grade; has a percentage scale with 5% graduation; features a damped needle supported on a sapphire bearing, allowing smooth needle movement and fast, accurate readings; has adjustable magnetic declination, allowing adjustments of up to 45º east or west; has a semi-transparent mirror for precision alignment; has a 6061-T6 hard-aluminum body; is shock-resistant; has precise rotations and is waterproof.
