Clar-type DQL 2-A geological stratum compass - for geological, geophysical, mining, and tectonic measurements, for measuring azimuth and dip angle in a single operation. The horizontal circle is made of transparent plastic, 50mm in diameter. It features a 1/1º (1/1g) graduation, numbered every 10º (10g), an automatic compass needle locking system when not in use, adjustable tension weight, and efficient damping of magnetic needle oscillations due to eddy current damping. Its reading time is approximately 3 seconds. The north end of the magnetic needle is red and the south is black, with a length of 50mm, and the cardinal points are international (East and West inverted); the declination adjustment is +/- 30º (+/- 30g); the side has a 60 mm drawing ruler, a vertical circle on the lid hinge, 5º (5g) graduation, 1º (1g) resolution, 23 mm diameter, cover plate with friction adjustment screw, transparent bottom, and a transparent spherical level. It has a reading mirror, which allows for readings with the compass above head height. The freedom for the hinge clinometer is 270º, and the clinometer is 180º. Damping time: 30~60s.
